DevLog #6 | Songs for the Plaguelands [w. Composer Gil Gregorio]

Every corner of Crow’s Requiem is built on atmosphere, and sound is a big part of that. The Pandemicpunk vibe we’re creating isn’t clean or futuristic — it’s shaped by decades of recycling, from objects to clothes, supplies. And sounds. We wanted songs and moods to feel lived in, sometimes too lived in, frayed and decayed by the endless waves of illness and quarantine.

We’re lucky to have Gil Gregorio as the composer bringing this to life. His music sets the tone for the Collectors’ journey — sometimes tense and mechanical, sometimes fragile and human.

Here's Gil telling more about how he connected with the team (through a great DM!), our initial inspirations, and the incredible pool of references he brought to the table:

Gil also shared a personal playlist of the sounds and artists inspiring his work on Crow’s Requiem. It’s a window into the DNA of the soundtrack.
